Icaro Ecology supports the training of young people through the partnership with Sicindustria and Unikore.

In an increasingly competitive and constantly changing world, the training of young people is a crucial factor for the economic and social development of a territory. In this context, the initiative promoted by the Youth Group of Sicindustria Caltanissetta and by the Kore University of Enna, called “Business game – Start your competition”represents an important opportunity for university students.

The challenge was to create an innovative product or service in line with the sustainable development goals of the’Agenda Him 2030. The teams made up of 3-4 students developed their business idea over the course of 42 days, relying on the support of a young entrepreneur who acted as tutor who monitored the development of the project.
The jury, made up of entrepreneurs and teachers, will evaluate the projects presented and proceed with the awarding of the team that presents the best work. The prize consists in the possibility of participating in the selections for curricular and extra-curricular internships to be carried out at the companies associated with Sicindustria Caltanissetta and adhering to the project.

The president of the young entrepreneurs of Caltanissetta, Vincenzo Scerra, underlines the importance of the relationship between the business world and the world of training and is certain that the six weeks of the challenge will be stimulating for both students and tutors. The UKE Pass manager and professor of industrial economics, Vincenzo Fasone, instead underlines the importance of the synergy between the two realities, highlighting how the initiative is challenging and useful for the territory.

Icaro Ecology is also among the promoting companies who supported the initiative as they strongly believe in training and investment in young people. The partnership between Sicindustria, Unikore and Icaro Ecology represents a priority for the company, as it is believed that the collaboration between the business world and that of training is fundamental for the sustainable development of the territory.

Gianfranco Caccamo, general manager of Icaro Ecology, met the students on Friday 31 March, focusing their attention on good practices and new environmental remediation technologies and how these can enhance the territory:

“The world of business and education have always been intertwined. For this reason, the Young Entrepreneurs of Caltanissetta and Icaro Ecology have launched a project that unites both worlds. In this six-week program, students were asked to create their own businesses and pitch them to real entrepreneurs. This will help students develop important skills such as leadership, innovation and awareness of the economic impact on businesses. The program also gave students the opportunity to challenge themselves in a safe environment, under the supervision of experts.”

“The one with the Youth of Sicindustria Caltanissetta”, says Vincenzo Fasone, head of the UKE Pass and professor of industrial economics, “it is an important synergy that our UKE Pass center has strongly encouraged and supported. Today we are launching an inspiring and above all useful initiative for our territory“.
